If you own a boat, you will eventually have to deal with electrical issues. Sometimes help will be available, but often not. In either case, understanding how electricity behaves can be invaluable.
This class will focus on how electricity works, especially in the marine environment. The goal is to remove some of the mystery of electricity. Misuse and misunderstanding of the vocabulary of electricity causes much of the confusion. We’ll cover the history and theory of electricity as a way to understand the terms used to describe electric behavior. Theory will be supplemented by demonstrations of practical applications and the use of tools such as ammeters, voltmeters and ohmmeters.
This is a basic course, and so will not cover troubleshooting, system design, electronics, or corrosion. It will however provide the basis for these topics. Attached are the edited write-up and photo.
Who: Norm Petersen, instructor
What: Electrical Class, Think Like an Electron
When: January 26th, February 2nd, 9th and 16th
Where: Passion Yachts, dock office

The new Hunter 27 Edge offer boaters a new level of integrated design. The Edge blends the freedom of sailing with the flexibility of a powerboat – combined in a trailerable package. Depending on the weather, or your own desire, you can choose to raise the sails – or lower the engine. Sailing, fishing, sightseeing, swimming, and wake-boarding are all part of the onwater family activities the Edge can bring to your leisure time. The unique hull shape allows
for excellent sailing characteristics, plus provides a stable platform for planing under power.
Trailerability is enhanced with a swing keel, water ballast, plus a simple mast raising system. The interior features two double berths, a generous galley and large salon - accented by warm Cherry laminates. Large windows enhance the spacious feeling for days and nights aboard.
Visit The new Hunter 27 Edge at the Portland Boat Show at Passion Yachts Boat show booth.

Please stop by and see us at one of the Pacific Northwest's Premiere Boating Events, the Portland Boat Show!
